New York Newborn Photographer
This family contacted me last year about a newborn photography session after they moved to the Boston, MA area from the West Coast. Moving is never easy, especially when you are expecting a new baby and add an active toddler to the mix. After having a wonderful relationship with a family photographer out West, they began looking for the perfect photographer on the East Coast. I am not quite sure how we got connected, but I am so thankful we did. Most people do not know this, but half of my extended family lives in the Boston area. It is an area I am very familiar with even though I live in upstate NY.
One helpful tip when scheduling in home newborn sessions when a toddler is involved is to schedule it around the toddler’s nap. For the first portion of the session, I photographed Mom, Dad and baby while big brother finished up his afternoon nap. Big brother woke up with rosy cheeks and in a mellow mood. It didn’t take long for the typical toddler energy to appear, so we were able to get a nice mix of sweet and silly photographs.
