I can't say it enough, but sometimes when you feel like everything is falling apart, it is really falling apart only to be triumphed by something bigger and better. This is exactly how I felt after waiting MONTHS for the first home we were in contract on only to have it fall through. This is exactly how I felt when we got outbid on our SECOND home. But when we finally moved in our new home, and then found out that we have the best neighbors in the world, the stars aligned. Diane of Balanced Bites and Dr. Scott Mills are those neighbors. I wanted to test out my studio setup with someone besides Aspen, who almost always has difficulty in following direction. My two lovely neighbors took time out of their Saturday to come model for me. It was a blast.
You can find my list of the equipment (or similar equipment) that I used for my studio setup HERE. For the white backdrop, I used two flashes with umbrellas. One flash placed to the left and slightly behind the subject. The second flash was placed to the right and directed towards the subject, just a few inches taller and angled down.
