Lauren and Pete's wedding began with a beaming bride greeting me at her childhood home. As I approached Lauren's home, I saw a gorgeous white ball gown hanging in the window. I didn't even have to check the house number to know that I was at the right place. Lauren's gown reminded me of something a princess would wear and after seeing her father's jaw drop when seeing his little princess come down the stairs on her wedding day, it all made sense. He was about to walk her down the aisle to marry her prince.
If someone were to photograph me from behind the lens as I watch a father walk his daughter down the aisle to greet her soon-to-be husband, you would see a huge smile. Or maybe a tear. To me, it doesn't symbolize the passing of loving duties from the father to the bridegroom, but it symbolizes the joining of two very important men in that bride's life. Pete and Lauren's father couldn't take their eyes off of Lauren as she came down the aisle. She couldn't help but look at both of them with extreme joy in her eyes. It is for moments like these that I am thankful for the gift that I have been given. The gift to document love stories.
Lauren and Pete's wedding day was definitely a day fit for a princess and felt like it was lifted right out of a fairy tale. It was a blessing to witness their wedding day and I cannot wait to see their future tales unfold.
