The first thing I laid my eyes on when I walked into Christie's home was a gorgeous gown hanging perfectly from the canopy bed. From that moment, the theme for the day was set... perfection. With such a rainy wedding season so far in the Northeast, my weather iPhone app has been quite popular. Christie and Matt's day was no exception, but even with a few short appearances of rain... it was perfect. The perfectly diffused light created a romantic ambiance. The accents of mint teal and coral added the perfect pop of color. The clouds floating between the mountains surrounding Lake George painted a beautiful backdrop for the perfect couple and also served as a reminder of their engagement at a lake close to Christie's home. Christie's bridesmaids and mom watched on with tears in their eyes as the bride slipped into her beautiful strapless gown. Accessorized with a cathedral veil, Badgley Mischka shoes with perfect pink bows and a necklace that added a touch of sparkle (something Christie and I both have a love for), Christie was finally ready to walk down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams. Matt and his groomsmen greeted arriving guests in their sharp black tuxes, bow ties and suspenders (my personal favorite). The long aisle at St. Clement's was surrounded by their closest friends and family. The one thing I love about long aisles is the ability to take a peek at the reactions from the groom and all the loved ones in attendance. The mothers had tears in their eyes, the fathers' eyes lit up with happiness and the groom's smile went from ear to ear. It was truly a perfect day.
It was a dream to photograph Christie and Matt's Lake George wedding. I can't thank them and their loved ones enough for being an absolute joy to celebrate with. I wish Christie and Matt a lifetime of love and happiness.
