Hi Friend!

It is oh-so-nice to connect with you. I am Michelle, owner and photographer here at Michelle Lange Photography. When I am not photographing weddings and newborn babies in their parent's arms, I can be found with the loves of my life, my husband and two adorable children. I love exploring new cities and restaurants and day dreaming of homes on Fixer Upper. In the Summer, there is nothing better than the feeling of sand between my toes and the smell of a refreshing ocean breeze. I grew up vacationing in Cape Cod, and have been lucky enough to visit some noteworthy beaches in Hawaii, Italy and Florida. In the Winter, my idea of a perfect night is a glass of red wine by the fire with a good puzzle or scrabble game in the works. In my opinion, wine is best when paired with an assortment of cheese, a lot of cheese. Can you tell I grew up in an Italian and French household?

My Favorite Personal Photos

Why... This was a few days before my husband, Mathias, would be traveling for a long period of time. Max wouldn't be physically present with his "Papa" for about two months. While they could have made it a very emotional few days, these two opted to do what they do best. Have fun. In my eyes, the best thing a man can give this world is to be a great Father. And this photo captures exactly that for me. An amazing Father

Why... As I mentioned before, we vacation every year in Cape Cod. This was Max's second time on the Cape. One of my favorite features about Max, besides his big inquisitive eyes, is his curly blonde hair. The humidity got the best of it this day, but he could have cared less. Watching him fall in love with the Cape is something that makes this beach-loving Mama proud.

Why... I do not get in front of the camera often. Actually, it's usually only once a year for family photos. It was an early morning in Central Park and Max wanted NOTHING to do with our portrait session. He just wanted to run around and be a 1.5 year old. The only thing that stopped him from whining, besides the bubble man that was blowing huge bubbles close by,  was "This Little Piggy". I will forever remember this photo for everything we do to make our children happy. And, seeing his smile lights up my world.  photo by judy pak

Coffee

While I am a Starbucks gold card holder, I fell in love with a small coffee shop that opened up before we moved out of our home in New Jersey. They served an amazing coffee called Counter Culture. If you are ever in the Caldwell, NJ area, be sure to stop in and say hello to my friends at Jola Coffee

Wine

I enjoy red red wine just as much as I enjoy my white wine. While I don't have an "Absolute Favorite", one that I had YEARS ago is up there on my list. It's name, The Chocolate Block. A nice Syrah blend.

Vacation

That's a hard one. Can I have two? The Big Island of Hawaii is a favorite. I seriously contemplated moving there both times I have been. I also fell in love with Venice, Italy. That city absolutely fascinates me.

Beauty Product

Tarte's Shape Tape. Having a newborn does wonders  on bringing out those dark circles. Shape tape is a magical concealer that makes them disappear.

Post Wedding Snack

Pizza. I don't know what it is, but after I photograph a wedding, I CRAVE pizza.

TV Show

No favorites here, but I love a good crime drama and will always love (and miss!) Fixer Upper. I am currently watching "The Killing" on Netflix.

PHOTOGRAPHY TOOL

It's a toss up between Tave and Pic-Time. Tave is a studio management software and helps me stay super organized. Pic-Time gives my clients beautiful, and easy to use galleries to look at their images in. Be sure to try them both out if you are in the photo business (and get a free trial)!

Life Tool

At this exact moment in time, my NutriBullet. A smoothie a day keeps the doctor away
